July is a busy month at Malcolm Morris Jewellery.
As well as making new and beautiful one-of-a-kind pieces I will also be taking part in a selection of local shows and Weekend Garden Parties that I would like to invite you to.
I will be showing and selling a selection of pieces from current collections as well as my latest, unique, one-off pieces.
I will be available to chat about potential commissions for engagement or wedding ring requests as well as recycling your own, old Gold jewellery and having it made into a new piece of Jewellery that you will love and wear again.
This Week I am showing my work as part of a group exhibition called Unique at The Gallery at Craft Central, St Johns Square, London, EC1M 4DS.
Unique will be running all of this week until Saturday 18th July. It is open 12pm - 6pm every day. An assortment of lovely Jewellery, Bags and Cushions will be available for purchasing.
At the weekend, on Sunday 19th July, I will be taking part at the Walthamstow Garden Party, a local weekend festival in Lloyd Park Forest Road, London, E17 5JW. You can find me in the E17 Designers Marquee from 12pm -7pm.
There will be lots of activities going on throughout the day with live bands, food and music. Best of all...it is free entry.
Finally, closer towards the end of the month, I will be exhibiting at the at the Parallax Art Fair at The Old Chelsea Town Hall on Kings Road in Chelsea, London, SW3 5EE.
Opening hours are 11am - 5pm Saturday and Sunday.
There will be Art, Sculpture and Jewellery available to see and purchase. Entry is free of charge.

Please feel free to come along to any or all of the above events.
I am looking forward to seeing you there,

Best wishes,

Malcolm

Raising Money for Charity

A couple of weekends ago we had the privilege to take part in a small fundraising exhibition showcase in Hampstead.
The exhibition was innitiated in aid of raising funds for the Noah's Ark Children's Hospice.
Each exhibitor agreed to contribute a percentage of their takings during the exhibition to the charity, as well as contributing a piece of their work each to a raffle.
We invited our best clients to come along and join us for a glass of wine and the opportunity to look at some stunning work by a number of talented Jewellers and Silversmiths.
It was a great and successful weekend and it was the first time we showed our new and bold one-off pieces from the Morphology Collection.
We got some great feedback to this new collection and a few of those pieces even changed hands to be now proudly worn by their new owners.
Best of all we are very happy and proud to announce that over the course of the weekend we have raised a vast amount of £1250 just through sales of Malcolm Morris Jewellery.
The total of the money raised through Jewellery and Silverware sales as well as the money raised through the sale of raffle tickets is currently in access of an astonishing £20,000.

Getting work ready for Assay

It always seems to take a while to get the work ready for the Assay office where it gets stamped with the mark that tells you it's silver or gold. It the has to be at the assay for up to 5 days. So it seems a while before you see it again to finish work.

It's was really hard this week to get back into the swing of work but o finally manage to sit at the bench again.

On the workbench today some Morphology collection rings. All cleaned up and ready to go to the assay office to get Hallmarked.

It's interesting how long it takes for work to get completed as it goes to the assay office so u will not see it again for a week.
